January 01, 2012 Well, we
managed to close another restaurant....Upon arriving at Champps for our
annual Polar Bear Ride, we discovered that the restaruant had closed up.
Having been through this several times in 2011 we simply regrouped,
established plan B and executed it.
We went across the street to the Diner at North Point.
It worked out really well. They gave us a back room to ourselves.
Service was very good, the food was good and the prices reasonable. It
was a very enjoyable meal.
We had a very good turnout with people showing up that
we had not seen in a while. It was great to renew friendships and visit
with those we had not seen in such a long time.
We took our time, ate our meals, got some ride ideas
for 2012 and heard promises of more involvement in 2012. Hopefully this
year will see a return of our old friends in the STAR family. We talked
and visited. Eventually we reluctantly parted ways and headed home...but
we did so with the expectation of a great year.
