We had a very hot yet nice ride today. Preston, Rick Curtis,
Wild man Pierce and myself logged quite a few miles. We left
Atlanta Motor World at 9 am and did not stop until 11:30 in
Clayton. We went a short way up 400 to 306 and wandered our way
up the east side of Lake Burton to Clayton. We got some gas and
a quick bite at Chick-fil-a and hopped on the bikes again. From
there we took 76 west and down the west side of Lake Burton to
Unicoi Park and 75 to just west of Helen where we took the
Richard B Russell to 129 over Blood Mountain
to Turners Corner. At that point we stopped and found out at
2:15 most everyone was ready to head to the barn. Preston, Rick
and Chuck went on their way toward 400 and I proceeded on my
scheduled route to 60 then back roads to Dawsonville. It was a
very hot ride but we had some great fun.
