Preston and Stephanie Howard invited everyone over for a cookout on this weekend. So instead of doing a ride we opted instead to just meet at their house and enjoy an afternoon of socializing and eating. Three members showed up on their bikes, but everyone else opted for the air conditioned comfort of their cars on what turned out to be a very warm day.

Everyone arrived between 1pm and 2pm. Everyone brought a covered dish to the event and we ended up with some really great food....as we always do when we do an event like this. We basically end up with everyone's best dish, so it's all good!! Preston thru some burgers on the grill early on for those who need a late lunch. After giving everyone a tour of their beautiful home we all just sat around and relaxed and discussed whatever struck our fancy. The women tended to congregate in the kitchen and did a little preparation work. The guys migrated to the "den" and relaxed discussing motorcycles and "guy stuff".

Preston got some chicken and ribs on the grill to barbeque. While they cooked the male and female groups managed to merge and we just had a good time talking and chillin'. In due time the meat was ready, the spread was laid out and sixteen hungry people descended on the goods. The chicken and ribs were excellent and the accompanying dishes were good too. It got a little quieter while everyone fed  belly monsters. Then we finished it off with some good deserts.

Once everyone had pretty much gotten their fill, we got a few of the pictures from the recent trips to Star Days transferred onto a medium that could be used to display the shots on Preston's huge tv. Everyone moved into the bedroom and Gary, Doug and Preston gave everyone a virtual trip to Star Days and beyond.

As the afternoon drew to a close and evening loomed, everyone said their goodbyes and headed home.

It appeared to me that everyone really had a good time. We had great food and fantastic company. A very special thanks to Preston and Stephanie for opening their beautiful home to everyone. They provided the main course, the drinks, the plates and utensils and their hospitality.
