This year we invited the new chapter in Braselton to join us. All I can say, is that the turnout was fantastic. It was one of the biggest crowds we have ever had for the event. Chapter 111 had 23 people attending and Braselton added another 13 giving us a total attendance of 36. Many members were nursing colds and ended up coming in cars, but a large number made it a real polar bear ride and made the trip on two wheels.

Those on bikes met at AMW and met the car people and Braselton chapter at Bugaboo's at Gwinnett. As in years past the restaurant was relatively quiet except for our group. We did our usual thing and strung a bunch of tables together and became one big happy family. Various discussions were carried on around the table as we ordered and waited for our food. And, as usual, once the food arrived the restaurant got a lot quieter.

It was a great way to start the year...sharing our time and good food with friends. It was nice to have Braselton join us. I think this sets a tone of commaderie for the year to come. There are a growing number of chapters in Georgia, especially around the metro Atlanta area, and it behooves us to spend time with other STAR member and chapters. After all, it only increases our family size.

I think its going to be another great year for the chapter. Everyone needs to attend as many rides as you can. Our events are always an adventure. We have a lot of fun, ride some great roads, and eat a lot of good food. Don't miss out on the fun.
