To start the year off right, we felt it was in the best interest of the chapter to have a business meeting to iron out plans for the new year. Anticipation was that the weather would be too cool for a good ride and possibly even wet. Despite highs of 70 during the week, the weekend forecast was  morning temps in the high 30's. with the high for the day in the mid 50's. It was very cool in the morning with threatening skies, so almost everyone arrived in a vehicle with four wheels. Mid day turned out to be warmer than expected with a high of 59 and sunny skies, but this was meant as a business meeting and that is what it was.

Everyone met at Golden Coral near Northpoint Mall. We were given a room in the back which we pretty much had to ourselves for most of the time we were eating. However, as we finished up the dining and got ready to begin the meeting, they put more people in the room with us, so the noise level rose significantly. Despite that we attempted to discuss several items. With the noise level high, some of it of our own doing, it was difficult to hear.

We tried to make plans for the 5th annual Macon/Andersonville event. We expect a larger turnout than ever for this and want to make sure that we are ready. We asked for ride suggestions so that we could get our calendar set. There were a few suggestions provided. We firmed up plans for next week at the IMS show and a few other immediate events.

After those discussions, we took care of signing the charter for 2008. If you did not get the sign the charter it will be available at the IMS show for additional signatures. Note that you must be a member in good standing and current with your STAR membership.
