Date:  April 9, 2006

Fifteen riders met at Atlanta Motor World for the first scheduled ride of April and the first ride of Spring. Mother Nature cooperated reasonably well. The morning was pretty cool. Leather jackets were the clothing of choice to warm us up in the 46 degree weather. Our road captain led us on a great route through the countryside avoiding most of the small city traffic and stop lights. As we rode the sun and clear skies warmed the air and made for a beautiful day.

Arriving at Fresh Air BBQ several hours later, we were all famished and immediately placed our orders, got our food and chowed down. As always, great company and great food made for a very enjoyable meal. Fresh Air has some of the best BBQ around.

After the meal, we saddled up and headed home. By now the temp was as the day's high of around 67. Some of us shed the leather and opted on lighter clothing. Even short sleeve were seen. Too soon the day had to end and everyone parted ways, each headed to their homes and I hope each already anticipating the next ride.
